Connect Slowloss to Claude or ChatGPT
Connect Slowloss to Claude or ChatGPT and log meals, water and progress by chatting: the assistant reads and writes your log for you. The same connection works for both.
Connection URL
https://mcp.slowloss.com
Set-up in Claude
- Open claude.ai (or the Claude apps) and go to Settings → Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector.
- Name it Slowloss, paste the connection URL above, and add it.
- Click Connect and sign in with your Slowloss account.
- Review what it can do and choose Authorise. Done — Claude can now log for you.
Set-up in ChatGPT
Custom connectors need a paid ChatGPT plan; you may need to enable them first.
- In ChatGPT, go to Settings → Connectors and create a new connector.
- Name it Slowloss. For Connection, choose Server URL and paste the connection URL above.
- Set Authentication to OAuth — the settings are discovered automatically.
- Tick “I understand and want to continue” and choose Create.
- Open it, choose Connect, then Sign in with Slowloss and authorise. ChatGPT lists it as a “dev” connector — that is normal.
No tokens to copy: connecting uses standard OAuth, and you can disconnect at any time in Settings. Other MCP clients (Cursor and friends) work the same way with the same URL.
Things to say
Logging:
- “Log a chicken salad, roughly 450 kcal and 35 g protein.”
- “I had two eggs on toast for breakfast, log it.”
- “Add 500 ml of water.”
- “Log my usual porridge again.”
Reviewing:
- “How am I doing today?”
- “How much protein do I have left?”
- “Summarise my last two weeks.”
Good to know
This is entirely optional; the app works fully without it. The connection can only read and edit your food, water and targets; it cannot change your password, email or account.
